The Power of our Thoughts

Mid-Week thoughts to ponder:

Often in my classes we talk about the power of our thoughts and intentions, how these thoughts affect not just our lives but the lives of those around us as well. Those of you who have been to a class have heard me speak of Louise Hay's work on "How to Heal your Body." How we can change the direction of our day and our lives simply by focusing our intentions and thoughts in a positive direction. Glass half full instead of glass half empty - if you will. Louise Hay was a pioneer in this thought process. How over time the way we speak to ourselves can affect our health. Sounds crazy doesn't it? Or does it?

There is an A-Z listing of conditions and the thought process that created it...facinating. For example...in our office we see many, many women with thyroid issues. If we were to look up thyroid in her book "Heal Your Body" we would find "Humiliation. I never get to do what I want to do." And if we look at the chakra system in this same scenario we would understand that the throat chakra contains the thyroid gland. And the throat chakra is all about learning to "use our voice." Speaking our minds. If we do not learn to use our voice we will see dysfunction in this area. Learning to speak our minds and move forward often takes time as many of us have grown up in a "sugar and spice and everything nice" era. As women it is something that will become necessary the older we get. The more our soul becons us to move into alignment with our "Truest Self" the more we begin to function in alignment with what we think, feel and do.
